Hello! I’m Devon, the new Fresh Baby Bites intern (that’s me in the middle). For my first project, I wanted to learn more about Fresh Baby Bites and get to know my amazing new bosses Kim and Cristina. So, I decided to sit down with the powerhouses behind Fresh Baby Bites and do a little Q&A over coffee. I learned a lot, but here are some of my favorite tidbits:
Q & A with Kim and Cristina:
Question: What is your favorite flavor of Fresh Baby Bites? How do you come up with the different flavors for the Fresh Baby Bites purees?
Kim: Baby Chili, red kidney beans, leeks, cumin, and ground beef.
Cristina: I love the pears with cardamom! Our flavors are inspired by the food we eat as well as my travels to different places. We scour the farmer’s markets for the season’s freshest flavors and unique ingredients.
Question: Who was your first Customer?
Kim: Our friends and family sampled lots of baby food when we first launched! We recently reached out to our first “official” customer, Debra. It was great to reconnect with her. Stay tuned for an update on Debra and her little ones in our next blog post!
Question: What is your favorite memory of the past year?
Cristina: There are so many fabulous memories, one of my favorites was in our first few weeks of official business. While delivering, a customer invited me into her home to sit down with her and her child. We sat and chatted a little and watched her baby eat the food we just prepared. She sent pictures of her baby after, it was so cute. We love engaging with our customers, big and small!
Kim: I would have to say that my favorite memories was when Golden Gate Mother’s Group wrote an amazing magazine article about Fresh Baby Bites! (Check out the article here!)
Question: Where do you see Fresh Baby Bites going in the next year?
Cristina: We would love to have the opportunity to “grow” up with our little customers and offer other types of foods that will help parents introduce new spices and flavors. We’re already sampling finger foods with our current customers.
From my perspective, if you haven’t already tried Fresh Baby Bites, I highly recommend you taste some for yourself. At first I was a little hesitant (to be honest)! I thought the Fresh Baby Bites purees were going to taste like other baby foods, bland with no texture…I was completely WRONG!! After tasting the food I was very impressed with Fresh Baby Bites. Not only was the baby food booming with different flavors and spices, but the combinations were super delicious! If a 22 year-old college student likes Fresh Baby Bites, I’m sure your little one will LOVE them.
